Value for money was excellent, with spacious dorms and a well-equipped kitchen. The location in the old town and close proximity to the beaches was perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home.
Menu for breakfast could use some improvement, but that seemed to be a common issue in the area.

The hostel's central location in Lagos was a great advantage, allowing me to easily explore the vibrant city. the property's unique feature made my stay incredibly enjoyable. Each morning, as I walked into the shared lounge, I felt like I was stepping onto a lively dance floor. With the music playing and the guests chatting, it was as if I had woken up in a mini carnival. It was a fantastic way to start the day and set the energetic tone for my adventures in Lagos.
Bathroom waiting times.

The staff at this hostel were absolutely amazing, always going above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time. The common area was equipped with a jacuzzi, sauna, and pool table, providing the perfect spot to relax and socialize. the location of the hostel was fantastic, situated right between the bustling nightlife and the peaceful residential area. It was incredibly convenient to have both options just a short walk away. the friendly staff, great amenities, and ideal location made for a memorable New Year's experience.
While the hostel had many positive aspects, there were a couple of downsides to note. the lack of bed curtains and bed lights made it difficult for those who value privacy or like to read at night.

The rooms at The Macarena Beach Hostel have a shared bathroom, but don't let that put you off! It's actually great because you get to meet fellow travelers and share stories while freshening up. Plus, the hairdryer and bed linen provided made it feel like home.
That some rooms didn't have a patio. But hey, that's just my personal preference.

Little did I know, this hostel was perfectly located near some boring golf course, a racing circuit, and a congress center. So thrilled to be in the heart of it all.
Oh, how I loved the sound of squeaky beds and the thrill of having no locks on doors! Truly felt safe and secure at all times.
